QUICK BITE: Mezzeterranean in Provincetown Massachusetts

Sometimes a restaurant will bring back memories from a past experience.   That was the case tonight at Mezzeterranean.  So many dishes reminded me of our experiences in Turkey.   We tried three dips including a traditional tzaziki and htipiti (red pepper hummus).   New to me was Taramosalata which was a delicious fish dip.  Definitely one of the highlights of the night.

There was also a savory moussaka (such delicious eggplant), well cooked and seasoned kofte, local steamed clams, cod cheeks and grilled octopus.  So reminiscent of our trip to Turkey where we had some of these same dishes. Although a couple of them - especially the moussaka and kofke were better.

QUICK BITE: The Lobster Roll in Provincetown Massachusetts

Second lunch!!   Went here for  Hot Lobster Roll and Steamers!!

The lobster roll was pretty good but the Clam Shack in Kennebunkport Maine has better. Angie did like that it is just lobster with drawn butter on the side. No gimmicks.

The steamers were delicious!!  Perfectly cooked and served with broth and drawn butter.  For those unfamiliar with eating these, after you peel off the "skin" on the neck, you then rinse off the little morsels in the liquor to rinse any remaining sand.  Then dowse in the butter.  So good!!  I haven't had them in many years.
