Royal Princess Night 3

The third day of the cruise we were in Cabos San Lucas.  The ship was staying overnight so we decided to get a hotel room in Cabos to better enjoy what it had to offer.  We stayed at the Grand Fiesta Americana all-inclusive hotel.

Lunch was at the ceviche restaurant and it was terrific.   We ordered the green ceviche with lime, coriander (cilantro), mint, avocado, onions and serrano.  It was so good with the subtleness of the mint and hint of heat.

We also ordered the fish tacos and shrimp tacos.  The shrimp was a bit overcooked but had good flavor.  The fried fish taco was my favorite.  Lightly breaded fish with a complimentary sauce and some slaw for crunch.

Our last dish was the tuna tostados.  Roughly chopped tuna with avocado, sesame seeds and just a bit of a wasabi mayo.  Very well balanced with the crisp shell.

Dinner was at the sushi restaurant and it was outstanding, I think we may have ordered at least one of every roll on the meni.  Too hard to remember what each one was called.  One of the more unique rolls was the taco roll, which surprisingly had some rib eye. It was also tempura fried.

Before we headed back to the ship, lunch was at the grill at the resort.  It was a Texan burger which came with cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce and an onion ring.  The burger patty was not remarkable although I appreciated that it was cooked medium.  The BBQ sauce really overpowered any other flavor so I ended up just eating the patty by itself after scraping off the sauce.

We came back to the ship on Monday and had dinner at the buffet.  It was asian street food night.  I took a sample of several of the items.  They also had a flank steak which was cooked to a nice rare, but unfortunately had no seasoning and had a faint liver taste.

Today we are in Loreto Mexico and will head off the ship soon.  They have a tender operaation in this port (same as Cabos) which means the ship anchors outside the port and they have smaller ships take you ashore.
